Verona, New Jersey resident Robert Otterbine speaks with the energy and contagious conviction of someone who undeniably loves his craft. His conversation often centers upon the technical know-how of a passionate, tried-and-true artist, generously peppered with witty satire and imaginative analogies that render a listener defenseless against the desire to smile.
Otterbine is animated - as are the characters in his films. A featured artist at this weekend's film festival organized by the WAE (Wellness Arts Enrichment) Center - under the umbrella of Jewish Services for Developmentally Disabled of Metrowest - Otterbine, who has autism, unveiled a compilation of three decades' worth of his animated films.
